This is a great little tuner. I got it at a great price and I like the sound.I did its sound compared to the standard channel with a Marantz Model 105. The Marantz has a deeper bass but the highs and the midrange is crisper on the Sony.All in all, for what I and most people would use it for, (a major cause tuner or more likely a secondary tuner for secondary channels), the sound is quite pleasing..
